Get to know some of my previous work experience.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
I have experience coaching teachers and administrators to help them improve their practice. I have worked with individual teachers in their classrooms as well as with teams of teachers before and after school to address specific challenges.
PUBLIC SPEAKING
Over the past 25 years, I have spoken at numerous conferences across the United States and abroad. I have delivered Keynote Addresses for the Utah Montessori Council Administrator Retreat, The United Montessori Schools of Indiana, and the Montessori Conference of the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse.
CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
Working side-by-side with teams of Montessori elementary teachers, I have facilitated curriculum mapping sessions and helped teaching teams to develop a scope and sequence that meets the needs of their school. When teachers are involved in this process, they take ownership of the curriculum and are invested in its implementation!
TEAM BUILDING
I have facilitated Team Building workshops for both large and small groups. I will work with you to design a workshop for the length of time you have available that meets the needs of your community.
ANTI-BIAS TRAINING
I have led workshops with groups of administrators, teachers, and boards to help them examine and break down bias in order to better serve students and families.
LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Most of the schools where we learn and work are located on unceded lands of indigenous peoples. To acknowledge this truth, I have created a material that can be used in the elementary classroom. I would be happy to share it with you so that you can honor and the acknowledge the Native nations specific to your region.
